Happy Birthday Gavin!

Today Gavin turns two!! Happy Birthday big boy, we love you!! I can't believe how much he has grown over the last two years. He is amazing and seems to learn something new everyday. His birthday party was Saturday and by the end of the night all of us were exhausted, lol! He had such a great time with everyone and was pretty amped up on sugar! He got lots of fun toys and clothes. Sunday he took a 4 hour nap, someone was tired!!

Hello

Not to much going on with us. I am feeling much better lately, no more morning sickness. I am starting to show already and I am only 12 weeks! I hope I don't get as big as I did last time.

Gavin is doing great. He seems to test my patients everyday, lol! He is in the stage where, "I do it myself!" I know I need to let him do things on his own but it is so much faster if I do it. He is a very determined and stubborn little boy. For example if I help him down the steps he has to walk back up the steps and come down by himself! "I do it myself!!!" That boy is going to get the best of me! He is such a ham too. He laughs at himself and will say, "I'm funny!". What a goof. If you ask him who is cute he will say "Gavin is cute". He is just like his dad!

Buying a new car

Daryl and I are wrestling with the idea of trading my Bonneville in for a bigger vehicle. We test drove a Chrysler Pacifica and loved it but we are still not sure what to do. I still have a loan on my car so no matter what we will have a car payment but my car is almost paid off. I just think with 2 car seats a crossover or SUV would be a better fit. But for some reason I am just uneasy about buying a different car. Maybe I just have to feel like I am getting good deal and than I will feel better??? Any ideas on what kind of vehicle to buy? No mini vans please, sorry I just can't do it!

Quick funny story

This morning my mom woke Gavin up for daycare. First of all he is like me in the morning and doesn't like to be woke up, so he was very crabby. I was getting ready and he came running in my bathroom and wanted a hug. Well he was naked because he wouldn't let my mom put his diaper or clothes on. So I leaned down to give him a hug and all of a sudden I felt something warm and wet on my legs! He peed all over me!!! Apparently he told my mom he needed to go potty so he must have been coming in to use his big boy chair and I distracted him with a hug. Fun times!!! Gotta love it.

Adding to the family

Well for those of you that don't know yet...Daryl and I are going to have another baby! I am only 10 weeks pregnant and it feels like it has been several months already, lol. We are very excited and can't wait to meet him or her. This time I told Daryl I want to find out what we are having. We waited with Gavin but I had a feeling the whole time that he was a boy. This time I just want to know so maybe in my mind I can be a little more prepared. Whether that helps or not I guess I will find out. I am starting to feel better now. I was having "morning sickness" or should I say all day sickness and I am extremely tired. The morning sickness is getting better but I am still tired. I felt the same with Gavin so I am guessing just a couple more weeks and I should feel alot better.

Recent trip to the Mall of America

Last weekend we met Daryl's family at the Mall of America for a fun day out. While we were waiting for Daryl's family to arrive we took Gavin to the amusement park to watch all of the daring people on the rides. It was so funny to watch Gavin's face as the rides would fly over our heads. Someday I am sure Daryl will take Gavin on some crazy rides but I will just be the picture taker. I am a chicken!!! Once Daryl's family arrived we met them for lunch at Famous Dave's and than we were on our way for the underwater adventures. Lucky for us uncle Keith was along so he had the honors of holding Gavin the whole time through the aquarium, thanks Keith!! Gavin was so amazed with the sharks and the other large fish. He did scream once when Keith put him right up to the glass while a turtle was swimming over our head. It was funny. To top the day off the kids all played in the little play land at the end of the exhibit. Running and screaming, "cheese", because all of the adults were taking pictures.
